How many times have you thrown away your tube of toothpaste because you “can’t squeeze any more out of it”?
I bet if you started a contest to see who can keep the toothpaste going the longest, you’d see a few days, or even an extra week out of the minty tube. Using every conceivable amount possible eliminates waste and helps cut down the cost of toiletries.
This could be a really fun competition for kids, but it actually gets pretty comical between just Joseph and I. Because who really wants the stigma of having to throw the toothpaste tube out?
Try this and you’ll be surprised how long it will last!
How do you save on toiletries?

Great idea! I always cut the end off to get a few more uses out of the tube. My husband looks at me like I’m nuts!

I keep empty plastic dispensers for hand soap and when I get a new bottle I dilute it by at least 1/3 to a half. Works great!

Great idea! I would think you would hardly notice a difference.

I got these little plastic tube squeezers at the grocery store – about $4 for two of them. I gave one to my friend (we were in college at the time). I still have mine and I use it every time a toothpaste tube gets low. What you do it put the skinny end of the tube into the squeezer and then push it up the tube – so it forces the rest of the toothpaste out of the tuber without having to cut it open! I’ve had it for about 6 years now, and it really does make the toothpaste last longer. I also cut open any tube I get – lotion, moisturizer, makeup – when they start running low and put the remnants in a small tub from the dollar store. I end up with at least a few applications – sometimes weeks worth of product (depending on how much you use each time)! Cutting up (and squeezing the heck out of) tubes is soo the way to go to save some money (especially with expensive product)!
