50 Easter Basket Ideas Under $5

While Easter doesn’t seem nearly as big as Christmas, it can still cost a pretty penny to fill up a spring-inspired basket with all sorts of fun, exciting, and yummy goodies your children will love.
One stop in the Holiday section at Target, and you’re surrounded by the most adorable stuffed bunnies, carrot shaped candies, and enough of those funky smelling plastic eggs to coordinate an Easter egg hunt for your entire neighborhood. And almost all are severely overpriced!
It’s time to think beyond the Easter aisle and get creative with items that are not always filled with sugar or chocolate, or might not even be related to Easter at all.
This list gives you all kinds of Easter basket ideas (50, in fact!) for less than $5 each. Snag these items at the dollar store, or fill up your cart on Amazon, because this is the year you’re going to celebrate a non-candy-filled Easter for less, and your kids won’t even know the difference!

Very fun ideas 🙂 I think my son would love these, especially fruit snacks. I definitely plan to be complete minimalist as well for sure!
These are really good ideas! This year I decided to go totally minimalist and got him a little ball and bat from the Target dollar section for around $3. He doesn’t have one, I can jazz it up with some easter looking pastel bows and then we can finally get out and enjoy the Spring weather!
Love that idea! I bet he won’t even know the difference. 🙂
As always, lots of great frugal ideas here! I had not thought of the trading card idea for my son – thanks!!
You’re welcome, Julie!! 🙂
