I hate admitting this, but I’m a Tropical Smoothie Cafe addict. It kills me to pay $5.00 for a smoothie, knowing full well I can make them for less at home. But oooh…they are so good!!
TSC doesn’t exist everywhere {whenever I go back to NY to visit, I suddenly have a craving that won’t subside}, but now it doesn’t even matter. Because I have the secret recipe to their Blimey Limey amazingness, and it tastes just like the real thing.
Next time you stop by the grocery store, don’t forget to pick up these simple ingredients and give yourself a refreshing treat. There’s no sugar added, which means you can feel pretty good about what’s inside!
How to Make a Copycat Blimey Limey Smoothie
Step 1: Put all ingredients—strawberries, pineapple, and concentrates—in a blender. {I highly recommend the Ninja}.
Savings Tip: The cheapest place to buy frozen fruit is at the dollar store. Big bags at Publix and Target cost $10 each, but Dollar Tree offers the same amount for half the price!
Step 2: Blend on the highest speed for 30 seconds to a minute, scrape sides, and blend again until smooth.
Step 3: Serve and enjoy!

Too much water. No natural sugar?
★★★
There’s lots of natural sugar in the fruit! 🙂 And by all means, if you want less water go for it. If your fruit is unfrozen it will probably be very runny.
I created the blimey limey ! In Jensen beAch Florida in 2001.
