Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

While Joseph prefers straight up chocolate chip cookies, I’m more the adventurous type – snicker-doodle, chocolatey oatmeal, and M&M cookies all land on my super yummy list, but after we both tried these Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies, we immediately declared them our absolute favorite.
It’s the best of both worlds—chocolate chip with a hint of peanut butter–and a soft chewy center that won’t allow you to stop at just one!
In fact, they’re so addicting, we affectionately call them our “crack” cookies.
But we have more important things to discuss, like how to make these scrumptious cookies the next time you get the urge to turn all Martha Stewart-like. They’re perfect as an afternoon snack or late-night dessert, especially since they aren’t too rich or heavy. That is, if you don’t eat too many!
The Process
Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, cream butter, peanut butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Then beat in the egg, milk and vanilla.
Step 2: Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt into a separate bowl, mix together, and add to the creamed mixture, beating well.
Step 3: Stir in chocolate chips.
Step 4: Place dough onto a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet by tablespoon or medium-sized cookie dough scoop. Keep cookies approximately 2 inches apart.
Step 5: Bake at 375 degrees F for approximately 7-9 minutes, then pull out and let cool for a couple minutes on the pan, then transfer to wire racks to continue cooling. {But you have my permission to snitch one while they’re still warm!}

One of the reasons I love cookies so much is because they are always super easy to throw together, and make the perfect after-school snack or quick-fix for late night cravings. These scrumptious bits of baked dough are certainly no exception, and they cost much less than anything you could buy at the store or bakery.
That’s a win-win for me!

I can see why these are so addicting–they look awesome! The fact that you can make them at home for a lot less than buying at a bakery makes this a great recipe!
Thanks, Carrie! You will have to let me know if you try them!
These look delicious! I’ve eased off with my baking in the last few months – really need to start doing more again. I’m sure that my family will love these, as they love chocolate and peanut butter….sounds like a winning combination!
I haven’t had too much time to bake either, but these come together really quickly! Thanks for stopping by!
